Kansas City’s largest, 100 percent locally owned and independent craft brewery will celebrate eight years of operation on February 12. The outdoor festival will go from 1-6 p.m. and feature two tents with 20 different German-style beers on tap, including new limited-edition releases.

Admission is $20 for a tasting glass and eight tokens that are redeemable for beer samples, pretzels, and Dunkel bratwurst. Additional tokens can be purchased for $2 each. Purchase tickets here

Irish WinterFest 2022 | Drexel Hall, 3301 Baltimore Ave., KC

The Kansas City Irish Center will host its annual festival February 19 from 5:30-9 p.m. Local Irish musicians and dancers, food trucks, and a pub offering snacks and beverages will provide entertainment and eats. Whiskey flights will be for sale in a special area for the 21-and-over crowd.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Admission is free for children under 12. Purchase tickets here.

“The Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure” | 1616 E. 18th St., KC

Through April, the American Jazz Museum will present “Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure,” a partnership with Walt Disney Imagineering, New Orleans Jazz Museum, and the National Jazz Museum in Harlem. In the exhibit, Joe Gardner, the musician, mentor, and teacher from Disney and Pixar’s “Soul,” takes visitors on a tour of the rich history of jazz, including Kansas City’s significant impact on the genre.

Admission to the museum is $10 for adults, $9 for seniors (65+), $6 for children (5-12), and free for children 4 and under.

With a vision of bringing a taste of Mexico to KC, La Dulzura Creamery owners Joe and Deanna Villegas are serving up savory eats and sweet treats.

The large menu features everything from tortas, tacos, burritos, and quesadillas to desserts and drinks that showcase traditional Mexican flavors such as mango, melon, jicama, chili lime, dulce de leche, coconut, and chamoy. La Dulzura also offers a variety of fresh coastal-inspired dishes such as shrimp and fish empanadas, ceviche de pescado (fish cooked in lime juice mixed with tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, cilantro, and jalapeno), and a hearty seafood stew called caldo de siete mares.
