The last month of summer is upon us, so here are some outdoor events to enjoy while you still can. Plus, try out these two new restaurants that are popping up in the city.

Schlafly Art Outside Virtual Art Fair – Schlafly.com
Schlafly’s annual Art Outside Festival is going virtual! But don’t worry, everything else is staying the same. On September 4–September 6, there will be dozens of artists selling their work, including ceramics, digital art, painting, photography, and more. All three of Schlafly’s locations will be open for dine-in and curbside pick up, so you can still enjoy the food and beer, but shop at home. To shop, visit ArtOutside.square.site

Six Feet ApartY
On September 5, Magnolia and Arkansas streets in Tower Grove East will be shut down for Six Feet ApartY—a socially distanced event. Enjoy live music from Bruiser Queen and Steve Ewing, Steve’s Hot Dogs, and Tick Tock Tavern. You must wear a mask when you’re not eating or drinking and social distance. The event starts at 11 AM.

Rooftop Karaoke at The LoewsLoewsHotels.com
Whether your go-to karaoke song is Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen or Just a Friend by Biz Markie, show your skills every Wednesday on the rooftop of Live! by Loews in downtown St. Louis. Karaoke begins at 6 PM and ends at 9 PM.

Night at the Zoo – STLZoo.org
On Thursday September 17, spend your evening at the Saint Louis Zoo. From 5 PM to 8:30 PM, enjoy zoo exhibits, two complimentary drinks, discounted food, and more. Visit STLZoo.org/nightatthezoo to order your tickets. If you’re looking for another place open later than usual, the Missouri Botanical Garden is also extending their hours until 7:30 PM on September 5, 6, and 7.

New Restaurants
Motor Town Pizza is one of the city’s newest places to grab a bite to eat. It specializes in detroit-style pizza—rectangular pizza with thick crust—and a gluten free crust option, too. Order delivery or takeout from their location at 8388 Musick Memorial Dr, Brentwood. Fire Chicken opened at the end of August at 10200 Page Ave, St. Louis. This restaurant features deep fried chicken and shrimp, rice bowls, ramen, dumplings, and more.
