Appleton City Carousel

Appleton City Carousel is open Memorial – Labor Day week-ends. Fri-Sun 4-7 pm. It is a Menagerie Carousel with 10 horses and 8 animals, zebra, giraffe, rabbit, monkey, lion, rooster, dog, elephant made of metal thus the weight limit to ride of 150#.  It is an open air octagonal building with 7 garage doors that open for an open air breeze ride as the carousel speeds up. It came to town with a traveling carnival 2009-19, with the death of the carnival owner, it was purchased for Appleton City to have a point of interest for summer visitors.  After its first season it was voted the Best-of-2024 Kid-Friendly Attraction for the Missouri Electric Cooperatives Magazine Contest.
