Sister Act – The Musical
Deloris Van Cartier is a lounge singer in 1970s Philadelphia who witnesses a murder and is placed in protective custody in a convent. Disguised as a nun, she finds her calling working with the choir and helps the sisters find their voices.
The musical features a score that blends disco, gospel, and Motown influences, including songs like “Fabulous, Baby!”, “Raise Your Voice,” and “Take Me to Heaven”.
The musical earned five Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical.
