Event Details

Have you ever looked at a plant and wondered if you could eat it? Have you ever wished you could “live off the land”? Then this is a good class to start with. Join park staff and Kirsten Alvey-Mudd, a trained chef and master forager, to learn about fall wild edibles, where they can be found and how to process them. The fun part is that you get to EAT everything we gather!

Please bring a water bottle, wear sturdy shoes, and dress for the weather. We will be hiking/foraging to collect the wild edibles that are found in the park, while learning how to harvest responsibly.

Meet in the dining room of the lodge. Registration is required. For more information or to register, contact Connie Weber at 573-751-1224 or [email protected].
