April 18–19, 2025, The Center For Marek Dance, in collaboration with the Odyssey Chamber Music Series, is performing a new take on the classic Cinderella. This ballet will take place both days at 7 PM at the Missouri Theater in Columbia.
With live music from musicians playing two separate grand pianos and under the direction of artistic director Karen Mareck Grundy and choreographer Kristopher Estes-Brown, this rendition of Cinderella will be one to remember.

“We wanted to give Cinderella a fresh, modern spin while still honoring the timeless themes of the original story,” says Karen Mareck Grundy, the executive and artistic director at The Center For Marek Dance. “This production is about embracing who you are, finding your own strength, and celebrating diversity, all while still being enchanted by the magic of the fairy tale.”
