A Summer Slumber Party

St. Louis is home to a Hidden Gem event … literally. Hidden Gem is hosting a Summer Slumber Party event from 8 to 11 PM, July 11.

For the first hour, participants will be watching the new episode of Love Island, followed by some karaoke. There will also be a charm bar for guests to create their own custom charm necklaces and bracelets and some board games to play as well. The ticket price ($30) includes a free glass of champagne, craft supplies, and games.

The event music will be a mix of current top 40 and nostalgic throwbacks from the late 90s/2000s.

The event is free-for-all seating and located in our backroom event space. Specialty themed cocktails, as well as snacks (pizza rolls and hotdogs) will be available for purchase as well. Dress code is PJs, but guests can wear whatever makes them feel comfortable.

“We hosted this event back in February, and it was one of my favorites we’ve put on this year,” says Miranda Bess, event coordinator for Hidden Gem. “We wanted it to feel like a classic slumber party like when we were kids and that’s exactly what it felt like. The energy was amazing, people made friends, and we wanted to replicate that experience for our guests that might have missed the first time we did it earlier in the year.”

Hidden Gem expects around 20 to 30 attendees, as the seating room is limited.

“This event, and Hidden Gem in general, is designed to give our guests a fun experience where they feel in touch with community and comfortable to be themselves. We just want to provide a space where we can make some cute jewelry, play ‘Never Have I Ever,’ and yap about the latest Love Island episode while sipping on a tasty cocktail,” Miranda says.
