The Missouri Botanical Garden (MoBOT) in St. Louis is hosting its 12th annual Christmas light show extravaganza from 5 to 9:30 PM, now until January 4. The lights are part of MoBOT’s Garden Glow event.
The event features over two million lights, food and drink available for purchase, meet with Santa, fire pits, photo opportunities, and flower and train show. Cost for tickets range from $5 to $24, depending on the day, membership status of patron, and age of patron. It is recommended that tickets are purchased in advance of entry. Groups with 25 or more adult guests are eligible for group services.
“The Missouri Botanical Garden wanted to give visitors a new way to experience the Garden during the holiday season,” says Jessika Eidson, public relations staff for MoBOT. “Typically, visitors see the 79 beautiful acres of the Garden in the sunlight, but there is something truly magical about seeing the Garden at night. Adding a dazzling holiday light display makes those moments even more magical for our guests. We also wanted visitors to experience the Garden in the winter when it has its own cold weather charms.”
The Snow Queen and Snow Princess be at the Garden Glow every Thursday, November 21–December 19 and January 2. Santa will be at the Garden Glow Mondays and Tuesdays, November 18–December 10. The garden will also have many different types of oak trees decked out in lights, a glowing meadow, and a giant snowflake.
So, if a date-night is in order or some family-fun is needed, head over to the Missouri Botanical Garden.
