Vacation Rentals for Families

Treat your family to a reunion they won’t forget.

Fostering family relationships by offering rentals where families can gather is the focus of Branson Family Retreats at Table Rock Lake. Owner Tyann Marcink Hammond says, “One of our values is family and supporting the family unit because the family unit is the basis for life and for community.” Supporting families, she says, “helps to change the world.”

This means removing as much stress as possible and providing places of rest and peace so guests can create special memories.

Tyann’s parents started one of the first vacation rentals at Table Rock Lake, and Tyann decided she wanted to follow in their footsteps. “I loved it and got addicted to serving people through hospitality and providing a space for families to come together.”

Branson Family Retreats has 13 homes, offering anywhere from two bedroom rentals up to multiple houses that can be rented together with ample sleeping space “so that a large family reunion of 50-plus people could all stay together,” Tyann explains.

Her favorite rental is the Highland Retreat, with decor inspired by her honeymoon with her husband, Nat Hammond, at the Isle of Skye in Scotland. They took pictures of a large dining table with thrones when they visited Stirling Castle, and after returning home, they commissioned a local wood- worker to create replicas for the Highland Retreat.

If the castle decor doesn’t pique your interest, something in the rental collection is sure to. Each offers unique decor and amenities, providing a number of ways for families to create joy—hot tubs, covered decks with Weber grills and a view of the lake, an outdoor slide that takes you from a deck to the ground floor, indoor and outdoor pools, reading nooks, foosball, pool tables, fire pits, and fully equipped kitchens.

Tyann’s focus on families goes beyond the vacation rentals though; for each booking, the company gives a dollar to the Court Appointed Special Advocates, an organization run by volunteer advocates who provide consistent support for foster children. Tyann also gives back to the community by assisting and teaching others in the vacation rental and hospitality industry and is a worldwide speaker with a focus on the guest experience, communications, and operations.

Tyann is a self-proclaimed “serial entrepreneur” who has many roles, but her favorite role is serving families. She feels delighted “when guests give us feedback on how incredible their stay was, how we anticipated their needs before they realized they had them, that we took care of them, and that they were able to focus on their family.”
