Need a scarily fun space to enjoy time with family and friends this Halloween? Visit the Scare on the Square event in West Plains! This event will be located in the heart of the Entertainment District in West Plains, MO.
Jeff Tune with West Plains Downtown Revitalization says the event and will hold a plethora of fun activities including the following:
- Carnival games
- Coloring activities
- Music with DJ Will
- Free Photo booth
- Free hot chocolate, courtesy of 10/40 Coffee
- Costume contest: Make sure to dress up in your best costume
- The first 200 hotdogs are FREE: made by Mandy’s Hotdogs and brought to you by Community First Bank. Additional hotdogs, sides, and drinks will be available for purchase.
The event will also include trick or treating for kids. Families can walk to different participating local businesses located on the square to collect their treats. Shops will extend their hours into the night to make for a fun trick or treat experience. Some of the shops open for trick or treaters include: Misfits Barbershop, Powell Crews Title and Escrow, Rustic Touch Interiors, Right off the Bat Cards and Collectibles, Country at Heart, Honest Imagination, Tantastic, 10/40 Coffee and Boutique, KCs Sports Bistro, and Black Lagoon. “None of the businesses will be attempting to sell anything,” Jeff explains, although visitors can shop around at whatever stores catch their interest. “We are just hoping to get the community involved more and more each year,” says Jeff.
This Halloween event will run October 31st from 5:30–7:30 PM. Admission is free for all who would like to attend.
