Treat your senses to some good Missouri wine while you wind down to the sound of classic jazz, all for a good cause. Now in its eighth edition, the Hermann Wine and Jazz Festival returns Aug. 3, held by and benefitting the Camp Rainbow Foundation.

The Camp Rainbow Foundation offers seven annual camp programs for children diagnosed with or in treatment for cancer and other blood-related diseases, providing safe, cost-free experiences for campers and their families. These programs include in-hospital entertainment, camps, and special events. The foundation’s goal is to help campers gain confidence, build relationships, and enjoy a respite from their medical challenges without financial strain.

At the festival, attendees can expect to sample beer from Tin Mill Brewery, spirits from Blackshire Distillery and wine and wine slushies from Hermannhof Winery—all local companies.

“By celebrating in a quiet setting of Hermann, we offer a new experience away from the bustle of a big city and a chance to really relax, see the area wineries up close and enjoy a day of music in the Amphitheater,” says Laura Schulte, Director of Donor Development at the foundation.

The lineup includes headliners Ernest Melton Trio; Pablo Sanhueza and the KC Latin Jazz All-Stars; and Bodacious Thang, a vocalist who has shared the stage with Stevie Wonder, Idina Menzel, and Parker Wollworth.

“This year we are focusing on more talent from outside the Hermann and St. Louis region, which is where past entertainment was located, and we hope to bring a little more of the Kansas City and Chicago jazz community to the area,” Schulte says.

Don’t miss out on this good reason to see the beauty of Hermann, sip wine and listen to jazz, and support the Camp Rainbow Foundation. Purchase your tickets here.
