Vincent Price is born in St. Louis. One of America’s best-known character actors was born into a wealthy and influential family, with little indication of the type of fame that was to come. He first rose to fame with House of Wax in 1954. Younger people may remember him best as the creepy narrator in Michael Jackson’s 1982 hit song Thriller.
