The 2020 Market Fair has Been Cancelled

The 2020 Market Fair has been cancelled.

As a result of reopening restrictions, the third annual Best of Missouri Life Market Fair, scheduled for July 18-19,  has been cancelled. The event would have exhibited work from more than 75 specially selected Missouri artists as well as Missouri entertainers, food and drink producers.

“While we are disappointed that the Market Fair will not go on as planned this year, we are looking forward to an even better 2021 event with our incredibly talented Missouri artists and artisans, re-enactors, music, and food,” said Danita Allen Wood, Missouri Life co-owner and editorial director.

Powell Gardens has been Missouri Life’s location partner for the Best of Missouri Life Market Fair for the past three years and will be the host site for next year’s event tentatively set for the first weekend in May.

Joe Rittman Woodturning

Joe Rittman finds great satisfaction in giving reclaimed Missouri woods a new purpose. Using the wood lathe and a variety of hand tools, he is able to create the cuts needed in order to preserve and produce a functional heirloom.

Cathy Mertz creates custom made, one-of-a-kind jewelry and more. Cathy’s creations are made from vintage silverware, making each piece a unique creation that can’t be recreated. Cathy also does metal stamping.

The artist Hannah Hart will draw people as they sit for her at the booth. She will also have drawings and paintings of famous people so customers can notice the resemblance of the familiar actor/musician.

Kevin Williamson grew up in Brown County, Indiana surrounded by artists and natural beauty.
