As coronavirus (Covid-19) continues to make every day life look a little different for Missourians, we want you to stay safe and informed. The World Health Organization (WHO) has updated the risk of spreading the virus to very high and social distancing is still encouraged. The state has begun to slowly reopen with most businesses operating at 50 percent of normal capacity. Here’s how you can protect yourself and others during this time.

What to do if you think you’re sick:

  • Stay home. If you are mildly sick, you can recover at home.
  • Stay in touch with your doctor
  • Do not have contact with others
  • Call ahead before visiting your doctor
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes
  • Wash your hands often
  • Monitor your symptoms
  • Seek medical care right away if your illness is worsening

Steps you can take to protect yourself:

  • Wash your hands often for at least twenty seconds
  • Avoid close contact with people
  • Stay home if you are sick
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes
  • Wear a face mask if you are sick
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces
