Open space, fresh air, beautiful scenic rolling hills, and sunset cruises are just a few of the things that draw people from all over the United States to the Lake of the Ozarks. Centrally located, the Lake of the Ozarks is just 175 miles from St. Louis, 165 miles from Kansas City, and less than a day’s drive from anywhere in the central United States.

The Lake of the Ozarks offers more than 1,150 miles of shoreline and allows families and friends to come together within their comfort zone. You can rent a cabin, house, cottage, or condo and stay comfortable within your family pod on the 54,000-acre lake. Or venture out to enjoy many of the family activities or dine lakeside. Perhaps you feel like you have been inside of four walls for long enough and feel like camping out in the great outdoors as only the Lake can offer. Yes, they have that too!

And do not worry about the weather. If it is sunny and 85 degrees and the Lake is calling your name, many safe outdoor adventures await at HaHa Tonka State Park, which offers picnicking, fishing, and miles of hiking on scenic trails. Or hop on the Lake and make family memories while fishing with kids or grandkids along the scenic shoreline. Have the camera ready for that smiling face while they hook a nice bass for which this great fishery is known. Raining? No worries. Take the family and explore one of the many show caves in the Lake of the Ozarks area. Lake of the Ozarks State Park also offers cave tours.

With that long list of to-sees and to-dos, we suggest you make it a weeklong getaway as there is no other experience like the great outdoors at the Lake of the Ozarks.
