There’s nothing like your girlfriends to make you laugh, lift your spirits, encourage your efforts, and save your sanity! You can tell them ANYTHING. So what could be better than a chance to share three days of shopping, beauty, fashion, dancing, dining, and art with them?
The Great Girlfriend Getaway dedicates an entire weekend to fun for gals and their gal pals. Things kick off with a Friday night pub crawl from 4-11pm. You’ll hit some of Hannibal’s hotspots and most welcoming watering holes. The crawl costs $25/ticket.
Saturday brings a tea party at Finn’s Food and Spirit’s beginning at 1 pm with Margaret: The Incredible Molly Brown. And boy, is she going to spill the tea! It’s a one hour performance where you’ll be served a “proper afternoon tea.”
Next, you can go with the flow and take a yoga class at Twisted Juniper from 2:30-3:15 pm for $20/ticket. If wine’s more your cup of tea, following a tour of Hannibal you can chillax at Cave Hollow Winery and enjoy a wine flight at 4 pm. The cost’s $35/ticket.
Step it up for Saturday night with a GGG Concert from 8-10 pm featuring Stepping Back, presented by Golden Eagle Distributing. A cover charge will not only get you in but will also get you a FREE specialty drink!
Sunday morning clear the cobwebs with brunch. Don’t miss Muffins & Mimosas at Garth Mansion from 9:30-11 am. Brunch is $30/ticket and includes made-from-scratch muffins, a mimosa bar, Garth Quiche, and a self-guided tour of the first floor. (Brunch seating is limited, so resist the temptation to be a straggler.)
In addition, there will be a ton of instore events going on all weekend. Stop by the GGG headquarters at Java Jive for totes, tickets, swag, and the schedule of events! Get exclusive coupons to participating businesses when you purchase a GGG tote ($20). Many are for percentages off dining and drinks – or even a freebie with purchase, like a dessert. Others are good for great deals on pottery, clothing, wine ware, and lots more. You can then “tote” home all your bargains in your GGG bag.
