Columbia is set to dazzle with three captivating musical experiences held at the Tiger Hotel’s Historic Grand Ballroom, which will be transformed into a luminous candlelit spectacle for the events.

A Candlelight Concert is more than a mere classical music performance. It’s a fully immersive event, owing to the thousands of candles that will line the ballroom to create a warm and intimate atmosphere as a string quartet serenades the audience with lilting music.

The Aug. 15 concert features Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, with the Sep. 19 edition being a tribute to Taylor Swift. And to get you in the spooky spirit, Oct. 17’s concert features a haunted evening of Halloween classics. The music will be performed by a string quartet from Listeso Music Group.

Candlelight Concerts performs in more than 100 cities worldwide with the goal of making classical music more accessible to everyone—beyond the core demographic of classical music enthusiasts.

“To reach a wider audience that might have never considered a classical music concert before, the experience redefines the traditional concert format, condensing the duration to an approachable 60 minutes and hosting performances in unique spaces beyond formal concert halls,” says Corin Runacres, Project Manager at Candlelight Concerts. “We diversified the repertoire to encompass a broad spectrum of themes and genres, including tributes to contemporary artists and movie soundtracks alongside the timeless compositions of classical masters.”

For an enchanting evening of rousing classical music, make your way to one (or two) of the upcoming Candlelight Concerts. But if you can’t make it to any of the Columbia events, Candlelight Concerts also will take place at various venues in Jefferson City, Kansas City, and St. Louis
