A new development opened and put all 150 houses up for sale on the same day in Edmundson Terrace, a subdivision of St. Louis County. The subdivision was right at the doorstep of the growing St. Louis airport, which first opened as a community airfield in the early 1920s. (This image shows the airport circa 1956.) Edmunson Terrace became its own city in 1993.
