Members of The Ozark Mountain Daredevils certainly weren’t blue after their single “Jackie Blue” hit #1 on the music industry’s cha-ching chart. The song stayed at that spot for two weeks.  “Jackie Blue” was the second chart topper for the Missouri musicians, following  “If You Wanna Get To  Heaven.”  Based upon content from the book Missouri 365: This Day in Missouri History by John W. Brown, broadcaster and Missouri historian. Get your copy at Reedy Press.
