For those who love to paint: The Art-Gallery Studio and Art 101 Boonville
Janis Burgin is the resident artist at The Art-Gallery Studio and carries the prestigious title of certified Bob Ross instructor. With a collection ranging from landscapes to animals and more, one can see the notable talent as they follow her step by step in painting a blank canvas. Other classes offered at the studio include glass fusing, wool felting, and culinary classes.
The walls inside Art 101 on Boonville display bold and colorful canvases painted over the years. Perfect for a group, the Canvas and Cocktails class allows you to have a paintbrush in one hand and a glass of wine in the other. The studio also offers glass fusing, kids’ art workshops and adult and/or child parties.
For those who love pottery: Unique Creations Studio and Capital Arts
The Unique Creations Studio is filled with ceramics like gnomes, princesses, mugs and more waiting to be brought to life with paint. Their shelves of endless options also change seasonally to keep things fresh.
Capital Arts is a hidden gem on the city’s busiest street! They offer a variety of classes to encourage, promote and support the art community. Check out their schedule and book a class such as pottery wheel basics or intuitive art.
For those who love trying new things: Creative Escape and Unique Creations Candle Bar
The splatter room at Creative Escape is the only of its kind in Jefferson City. You can sling paint like an abstract expressionist artist or work out some frustrations while creating funky art to brag about.
