June 15, 1964
One of the most lopsided trades in baseball history happened on this day. The Cardinals acquired Lou Brock in a trade with Cubs for pitcher Ernie Broglio and two other players. Broglio’s career quickly faded and Brock went on to league and World Series Championships with the Cardinals, and was a shoe-in to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
