The St. Louis Blues are sold by Ralston Purina to a group in Saskatchewan for $12 million. Fans were shocked and the NHL tried to block the deal. The matter ended up in court but not before a new buyer, Harry Ornest, became the only bidder for the team and the Blues stayed in St. Louis.
