Don’t wing your weekend; attend the 24th annual Wingapalooza event in Springfield on November 2. Wingapalooza will feature thousands of wings to sample from wing restaurants and corporate teams throughout southwest Missouri.

The event will be from 11 AM to 5 PM. Tickets will be $20 for general admission prior to the event, $25 at the door for general admission, and $50 for VIP entry. The event, which is Day of the Dead themed, will have more than 50 vendors, live music, a silent auction, bingo games, and a haunted maze, which will cost $5 for general admission ticket holders. At around 2 PM, the event will host a wing-eating contest. The day before the event, there will be a cornhole competition with a $1,000 payout.
With VIP entry, patrons will get access near the stage and get seating with tables. They get access to cheaper drink tickets, more adult beverage choices, and a full buffet provided by Hy-Vee. This year, patrons will also get free access to the haunted maze at the back of the event.
This year, the event expects to have around 5,500 to 6,000 visitors, says Sam Block, the chair of the event.
The event will be supporting local charities like the Boys and Girls Club of Springfield, Diaper Bank of the Ozarks, Foster Adopt Connect, and more.
“Not only is this event for trying some of the best wings in the United States and listening to live music, but it is for an amazing cause with supporting local children and trying to make as big of an impact in their lives that we can as a community,” Sam says.
The event is hosted by Springfield Sertoma. The Sertoma Clubs are non-profit organizations that focus on raising money for charity, primarily sponsoring children’s charities in the Springfield and surrounding community.
“The last thing we have as a group is to say thank you to our wonderful community and all the support they have given to us over the years and we look forward to providing them with a fun and delicious event every year,” Sam says.
