C’mon down to Columbia Mall this weekend, January 25 and 16, for the free Columbia, Mo Comic & Toy Winter Show.
There will be 60 vendor and artist spots in the Level Up corridor. The vendors will be buying and selling toys, comics, posters, cards, pop vinyls, Kaiju, Pokemon, anime figures, vinyl records, and other pop culture collectibles! There will be a $250 cosplay showcase on Saturday around 2 PM.
Hours are normal mall hours 11 AM to 8 PM on Saturdays and 11 AM to 6 PM on Sundays. The event is hosted by Quad Con, which is a travelling comic and toy show that visits locations from Sioux Falls SD to Kokomo IN, and many points in between. They do about 35 events a year.
Other upcoming Quad Con events:
- February 1–2: Champagne, IL
- February 8: Cedar Rapids, IA
- February 15–16: Peoria, IL
“Quad Con has been doing these events since 2017, but the organizers have been vendors at events like San Diego Comic-Con, Tokyo Comic-Con, and other events since 1989,” says John Wells, event coordinator. “This will be the third time at the Columbia Mall, and this event has a steady growth.”
This is a family-friendly event, so cosplay outfits are requested to be child friendly.
