Jeff Chapman is in his first year teaching music at Van Buren but before he started teaching, he was a musician. “I started out playing in the same room I’m teaching in,” he says. After graduating from Van Buren High School and briefly playing in his father’s bluegrass band, Jeff spent a few decades on the road with touring bands.

When he gets a break, the son of legendary Gregg Allman of the Allman Brothers Band, Devon Allman heads home to St. Charles to recharge.

We profiled St. Louis native Angel Olsen and talked about everything from country music to making to move to Asheville, North Carolina. We also asked her a few bonus questions about Missouri just for fun, and she had some great answers.
