Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition – November 6

This breath-taking exhibition recreates the artwork created by Michelangelo at the Sistine Chapel. With modern technology, the ceiling paintings have been recreated for viewers to enjoy at actual size and up close. It allows you to view the art with a new perspective. The exhibit will be held at America’s Center Convention Complex Thursday–Sunday until January 10.  

Heavy Smoke BBQ Grand Opening – HeavySmokeBBQ.com – November 6

Heavy Smoke BBQ opened its brick-and-mortar on November 6. In 2017, owners Chris Schafer and Chad Brewer opened the Heavy Smoke BBQ food truck featuring award-winning BBQ and made-from-scratch sides. The new restaurant is located at 4270 N Service Rd in St. Peters.

Swade Cannabis Grand Opening – SwadeCannabis.com – November 6

St. Louis’s newest medical marijuana dispensary is opening in St. Peters. Swade Cannabis is located at 146 Jungermann Road. N’Bliss dispensaries opened two locations in Manchester and Ellisville in October. Read our full story on medical marijuana in Missouri here


Vintage Market Days of St. Louis –
VintageMarketDays.com – November 6–8

For three days, Sears at Chesterfield Mall will be transformed into the ultimate shopping experience. There will be more than one hundred vendors with art, real antique and vintage items, decor, and so much more. Plus, live music and food trucks will be there too! Pre-purchased ticket holders get into the event an hour early each day.

Soulard: Beer Barons and Mansions – St. Louis History and Architecture – November 7

On Saturday, St. Louis History and Architecture is hosting a walking tour of Soulard. Learn about the mansions in the neighborhood and the beer barons who owned them. The tour will be two to three hours long and begins in Pontiac Square Park at 2 PM. St. Louis History and Architecture frequently hosts neighborhood walking tours, so check its website and Facebook page for future events.

Plant it Forward – November 9 and 12

Help spruce up the flower beds at Tower Grove Park during this bi-annual campaign. Space is limited, so register early here. Fall work includes digging, cleaning debris, and planting more than twenty-thousand bulbs for the Spring season.

At Home Potsticker Making Class hosted by Crispy Edge – CrispyEdge.com – November 19

Crispy Edge, a gourmet potsticker company, typically would host this event in person, but because of COVID-19, it’s going virtual! So plan a night in and learn how to make delicious potstickers for dinner. Some will be savory and some will be sweet. Tickets are $40 and available here. Your ticket includes a potsticker making kit with all of the essential ingredients needed and a frozen bag of potstickers of your choice. There are vegetarian and meat options.
