Pirate Ships at the Train Station

by Missouri Life

If you’re obsessed with all five of the Pirates of the Caribbean movie series, or simply the parents or grandkids who are obsessed, you’ll want to indulge at Union Station. Pirate Quest for the Sunken Treasures is a new family adventure open now through October 31.

You’ll take the kids on a self-guided tour through themed pirate ship scenes, treasure caves, and grottos. You’ll follow the quest’s clues as you make your way through all of the marine habitats and hands-on animal adventures at the Aquarium at Union Station. You are likely to encounter the Pirate Captain’s journal containing treasure hunt hints, animal facts, and pirate jokes.

Treasure hunters will also meet Captain Gideon Gar, Salty Serena, Captain Gar’s first mate, and SharkBait Stubbs, a silly deck swab. They are portrayed in the scenes and settings, but live actors will portray them some weekends. If you want to catch that treasure, email [email protected] as the schedule has not been set yet. Or call the ticket office at (314) 923-3900, as well.  Kids get to fire the smoking, booming cannons on the sunken pirate ship. At the end of the quest are a pirate throne and a reward for those who complete the quest. The quest is free with admission to the Aquarium.
