The Post-Dispatch reported that the unclaimed body of a man had been standing in the window of a St. Louis mortuary for 27 years. They were displaying him to demonstrate the skill of their embalming.
October 11, 1910
Theodore Roosevelt became the first President to fly. He came to Aviation Field in St. Louis for the experience. His pilot was Arch Hoxsey.
