On November 27, 2007 Mizzou beats undefeated Kansas 36-28 at Arrowhead Stadium, elevating the Tigers to the No. 1 ranking in the polls. Chase Daniel threw for 361 yards in the win.


Pathfinder Stranded in Mountain

On November 26, 1848 the Great Pathfinder, John C. Fremont, “Old Bill” Williams and other Missourians chose the wrong pass and became stranded in a severe Rocky Mountain winter.  


Evaporated Milk Patented

On November 25, 1884 John B. Meyenberg, an immigrant from Switzerland residing in St. Louis, patented evaporated milk.   


Riots in Ferguson

November 24, 2014 was the worst night so far of rioting, looting, and arson in Ferguson. The officer who had been involved in a shooting was cleared by a Grand Jury and this enraged some. 


Train Collision

On November 23, 1916 a Frisco passenger train collided head-on with a Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific freight train near Una, Missouri.  Dozens of people injured.  


Debut of Meet Me in St. Louis

November 22, 1944 was the world debut of Meet Me in St. Louis. One of the biggest feature films to showcase St. Louis was released by Metro-Goldwym-Mayer. The movie featured Judy Garland and was set in St. Louis in the year before the 1904 World’s Fair. The film was nominated for four Oscars and won numerous major theatrical awards. 


November 21, 1920 is the birthday of “Stan the Man”

November 21, 1920 is the Birthday of Hall of Famer, “Stan the Man” Musial.  (Career batting average = .331.) 


First National FFA Convention

November 20, 1928 was the very first National FFA Convention was held in Kansas City.

On November 19, 2010 the old Paseo Bridge in K.C. was closed in favor of its new replacement. 


Debut of Mickey Mouse

November 18, 1928, was the debut of Mickey Mouse. Walt Disney was quoted as saying, “I only hope that we never lose sight of one thing—that it was all started by a mouse.” He was talking, of course, about Mickey Mouse, who made his debut in Disney’s first sound-synchronized animated film, Steamboat Willie. Disney’s impact on generations of children is impossible to measure, and his career started in Missouri.
