Missouri History Today August 11, 1949: Moberly Native Named To Prestigious Presidential Role

Moberly native General Omar Bradley became the first chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on this date in 1949. Two military vehicles are named after Bradley, who later earned a promotion to General of the Army.
