Missouri History Today August 17, 1927: Lindbergh Memorializes New Kansas City Airport

Famous aviator Charles Lindbergh landed his plane in Kansas City on this date in 1927 to dedicate the city’s new airport. A crowd of 25,000 people participated in the festivities.
