Missouri History Today January 6, 1963: Wild Kingdom Premieres With Missouri’s Own Marlin Perkins

The TV show “Wild Kingdom” debuts featuring host Marlin Perkins, a Carthage native who had studied at Mizzou. Perkins hosted the award-winning wildlife program until 1988. This statue of Perkins is located in Carthage.
