A 4.0-magnitude earthquake rocks Poplar Bluff, honored in the pictured mural, and surrounding communities shortly before 9 p.m. Stemming from the New Madrid Seismic Zone, the quake marked the largest of its kind to occur in several years, according to a history from the Central United States Earthquake Consortium.
