On November 28, 1959, Saint Louis University wins the first-ever NCAA Divison 1 Men’s Soccer Championship. SLU Billikens soccer team won a national title against the University of Bridgeport 5-2, finishing the season 11-1.

On November 25, 1884 John B. Meyenberg, an immigrant from Switzerland residing in St. Louis, patented evaporated milk.
Debut of Meet Me in St. Louis
November 22, 1944 was the world debut of Meet Me in St. Louis. One of the biggest feature films to showcase St. Louis was released by Metro-Goldwym-Mayer. The movie featured Judy Garland and was set in St. Louis in the year before the 1904 World’s Fair. The film was nominated for four Oscars and won numerous major theatrical awards.

The Mud Bowl
On November 15, 1964, the drenching rains turned Sportman’s Park into a muddy mess. The yard markers were obliterated and players became unrecognizable. The Football Cardinals played the NY Giants in a 10-10 tie. The game will forever be remembered as The Mud Bowl.
