A series of earthquakes are recorded on this morning just north of Excelsior Springs in northwestern Missouri, according to a history from the Kansas Geological Survey. Although the quakes didn’t cause much damage, they did manage to break dishes and windows and to crack plaster. Excelsior Springs is seen in this photo from 1909.
